After a successful career as a designer of special packaging for famous brands, artist Van Roozendaal fully devoted himself to his passion. Inspired by artists such as Andy Warhol, David Lachapelle and Erwin Olaf. After years of experimenting with various techniques in different directions, Van Roozendaal found his own unique style. A Willem van Roozendaal painting therefore clearly distinguishes itself from other works of art. The Grafic DJ (as Van Roozendaal calls himself) is known for his recognizable compositions.
The special artworks often consist of more than 20 mixed image layers. The convergence of these image layers brings the attentive viewer a mix of emotion, inspiration and wonder. Depending on how and for how long you look at a Willem van Roozendaal painting, you will discover more and more and details will alternate. This process is repeated until the brilliance of what you see penetrates deeply into your being.
In addition to the ode to feminine beauty, Van Roozendaal brings a unique interpretation of idols and the work of old masters. An original approach, sometimes literally with a wink, makes Van Roozendaal's paintings a valuable and beloved addition to any art collection.

In this case not everyday but not exalted as a result of which the work is accessible. Art is not elite for me, I prefer to keep it close but wonderful. Enjoy the contemporary attributes,...

During a trip through Spain I was inspired in the Mesquita in Cordoba. There I had a mystical experience that very emotional. The idea arose to make a very large icon of a naked Mary to illuminate the vulnerable side of her. I want to show her beauty in a respectful way. Dorothea Solle: "Mystical experience cannot be imagined without words - and...
