Postoly - traditional footwear of the Hutsuls (Carpatian residents), made from a single piece of leather, without "male" or "female" forms, was the most used footwear till the beginning of the 20th century.

Oksana Zviagintseva, born in Odesa, Ukraine, graduated from art school before pursuing a higher education in computer engineering. Since 2015, she has been a professional photographer, focusing primarily on commercial projects. After nearly six years in this field, Oksana experienced significant burnout. In 2021, she turned to simple film cameras, reminiscent of those from her childhood, to delve into the cultural codes of her nation. She began a series of personal explorations in western Ukraine, completing the first part of her project before the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine paused her work.
