Trapez II - mixed media/collage on wood- Keidel, Barbara

Keidel, Barbara

This unique collage by Barbara Keidel, mixed media of paper and paint, dates from 1988 and is one of a kind. Keidel's preference for non-rectangular formats is also evident in this trapezoidal collage on wood. The work of art is hand-signed, measures 1.33m x 0.9m and is in good condition with very slight signs of storage.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Barbara Keidel worked objectively with alienating color constellations in the style of German Pop Art. In the decades that followed, her pictures became more abstract, more reduced to colored areas, the colors of which she developed from observing seasonal moods in nature.
